Skip Hire FAQs

How long can I keep the skip?

Our standard hire period is up to 7 days. Need it longer? Let us know when booking and we can usually arrange an extension at a small additional cost.

Do I need a skip permit?

If the skip is placed on a public road, pavement, or council land, a permit is required. We can organise this for you, please select "Public Roadside" while filling in your requirements. No permit is needed if the skip is placed on private land.

Can the skip go on my driveway?

Yes, a 4 yard skip can usually fit on a standard residential driveway. You'll need approximately 10ft (3m) width clearance for our lorry to safely deliver the skip. Please ensure there are no low-hanging branches, cables, or obstructions.

When will the skip be delivered?

We offer flexible delivery slots Monday to Saturday. Choose your preferred delivery date. If you need a skip urgently, give us a call, we may be able to offer same-day or next-day service in your area.

How is the skip collected?

Once your skip is full, either call us or request a collection online. We'll arrange for it to be picked up as soon as possible which is usually within 1–2 working days.

How do I know which skip size I need?

If you're not sure which size skip is right for your job, use our Skip Size Guide or contact our team. We're happy to help you choose the best option.

What if I overfill the skip?

Skips must be level-loaded for safety. Overfilled skips may not be collected and could incur additional charges. If you think you'll need more space, consider booking a larger skip or a second skip.

Can I move the skip once it’s been delivered?

No, for safety and insurance reasons, skips must remain in the location they were placed during delivery. If you need it moved, please contact us and we'll arrange for it to be moved (additional charges may apply).
