Important changes relating to Waste in England & Wales

Volvo Truck

A new piece of legislation has been implemented that will change some requirements of Duty of Care documentation in the future.

With effect from 28th September 2011, all Waste Transfer Notes MUST have two new items included as follows:

- The SIC (Standard Industrial Classification) code of the Company producing / transferring the waste. All businesses have one of these codes by type of business activity - it is simply a case of identifying the SIC Code for your business type from the web link we have provided in the guidance notes attached.

- A statement that the Company producing / transferring the waste has applied the Waste Hierarchy to the load.

We have attached an introduction below and some guidance notes explaining the new Legislation and changes and we hope you will find these informative, if you require any further information, please feel free to contact us on the telephone number below.
