In response to the growing urgency of global climate concerns, the company has taken decisive action to accelerate its efforts in mitigating the impact of its operations on the environment.
The newly implemented carbon reduction plan outlines ambitious goals and strategies to significantly reduce carbon emissions across all ISM Waste & Recycling's operations. The program focuses on several key areas.
Carbon Reduction Initiatives
- Solar Energy: Installation of solar panels on the roof, feeding power back to the grid.
- LED Lighting: Transitioned the entire site to energy-efficient LED lighting.
- Hybrid Cars: Replaced company cars with new petrol hybrids.
- Fleet Emission Standards: 99% of the vehicle fleet meets Euro 6 emissions criteria.
- HVO Oils: Utilised HVO oils.
- Vehicle Age: Average vehicle age of 4-5 years; conducive to better fuel efficiency.
- Plant Vehicles: Plant vehicles with an average age of 3-4 years.
- Dyna Fleet Monitoring: Dyna fleet software optimises routes and fuel efficiency.
- Water Conservation: Mains-fed, filtered water machines on site, reducing bottled water use.

Declaration and Sign Off
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been completed in accordance with PPN 06/21 and associated guidance and reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans.
Emissions have been reported and recorded in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the GHG Reporting Protocol corporate standard and uses the appropriate Government emission conversion factors for greenhouse gas company reporting.
Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions have been reported in accordance with SECR requirements, and the required subset of Scope 3 emissions have been reported in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard.
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been reviewed and signed off by the board of directors (or equivalent management body).
