ISM Waste is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions before 2050. We have set a science-based target to reduce our emissions in line with the ambition criteria of the SBTi and verified by Net Zero Now.

In a significant step towards environmental sustainability, ISM Waste & Recycling's Carbon Reduction Plan solidifies our commitment to achieving Net Zero emissions. This strategic initiative emphasises the company's dedication to minimising its carbon footprint and driving positive change in the waste and recycling industry.

In response to the growing urgency of global climate concerns, the company has taken decisive action to accelerate its efforts in mitigating the impact of its operations on the environment.

The newly implemented carbon reduction plan outlines ambitious goals and strategies to significantly reduce carbon emissions across all ISM Waste & Recycling's operations. The program focuses on several key areas.

Carbon Reduction Initiatives

  • Solar Energy: Installation of solar panels on the roof, feeding power back to the grid.
  • LED Lighting: Transitioned the entire site to energy-efficient LED lighting.
  • Hybrid Cars: Replaced company cars with new petrol hybrids.
  • Fleet Emission Standards: 99% of the vehicle fleet meets Euro 6 emissions criteria.
  • HVO Oils: Utilised HVO oils.
  • Vehicle Age: Average vehicle age of 4-5 years; conducive to better fuel efficiency.
  • Plant Vehicles: Plant vehicles with an average age of 3-4 years.
  • Dyna Fleet Monitoring: Dyna fleet software optimises routes and fuel efficiency.
  • Water Conservation: Mains-fed, filtered water machines on site, reducing bottled water use.

We believe it's our responsibility to lead by example and protect the environment for future generations. Our commitment to achieving Net Zero emissions is an important step in the right direction.

The company's efforts help combat climate change and create a more sustainable future.

As ISM Waste & Recycling embarks on this transformative path towards carbon neutrality, we are setting a standard for the waste and recycling industry and demonstrating that environmental sustainability can go hand in hand with business success.
