The Made in Bury Business Awards 2019, took place on the 28th November 2019, rewarding and celebrating local businesses. The MIBBAs celebrate the successes of the best companies in Bury's business community in 21 award categories.
ISM Waste & Recycling attended the seventh annual Made in Bury Business Awards held at the Longfield Suite in Prestwich on Thursday 28th November 2019.
Our first time entering the Made in Bury Business Awards was a great experience and a massive success for the company. After an excellent year for the firm, we received two award wins on the night and were commended in a third category.
As well as being announced as the winners of the Environmental Impact Award, the company also picked up the win for Best in Class - Large Business and were commended in the Family Business Award.
The win for environmental impact was a huge honour for the company. Recycling our customers waste, diverting waste from landfill and reducing their carbon footprints are some of our key objectives. We work hard to provide our customers with affordable, environmentally friendly waste management solutions. We're delighted to be recognised for diverting over 90% of our customers waste from landfill, investing in a modern fleet of Euro 6 HGVs and producing on-site renewable energy to name a few.
We are also thrilled to have won the Best in Class - Large Business Award at the #MIBBA19. As a company that's been providing waste management services for over 50 years, it's a great honour to be recognised as an established large business in Bury.
The Made in Bury Business Awards was established to acknowledge Bury based businesses for their success throughout the year and appreciate their outstanding achievements in many different categories. There were 21 prizes handed out on the night, in various categories for large and established businesses to start-ups, small businesses and individuals.
The categories were judged based on a written application and a meet-and-greet by a panel of community and business leaders, including Councillor David Jones, Leader of Bury Council.
Congratulations to all other winners on the night and all the businesses that entered and attended the awards evening!
